Kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home gut renovations and finished basements in Old Saybrook, Madison, Clinton, Guilford and Old Lyme. Every image on this page came off one of our own job sites, which is worth saying because a lot of contractor galleries do not.
Most of these houses were built before 1980. That means settled floors, undersized headers and previous work of uncertain quality, all of which gets found during demo and priced in writing before anything continues.

How to read a portfolio
What a gallery cannot show you
Every renovation contractor has a portfolio of finished rooms, and finished rooms all photograph well. What a gallery cannot show is whether the shower was waterproofed before the tile went on, whether the floor was levelled before the cabinets were hung, or whether the range hood vents outside or into a cabinet.
So when you are comparing contractors, ask about the parts that do not appear in photographs. Ask who inspects the waterproofing and when. Ask whether electrical and plumbing are in house or subcontracted. Ask what happens to the schedule and the price when something is found at demo.
Those answers will tell you more about how your project will actually run than any gallery, including this one.
