Our Renovation Process

Six steps, and you always know which one you are in

Most renovation stress is not about the work, it is about not knowing what happens next. This is the whole sequence, start to finish.

Start to finish

Our renovation process, in order

  1. 01

    Walk-through

We come to the house, walk the space and listen. What you want changed, what you want kept, and the budget you have in mind. No pressure and no sales pitch. If the project is not a fit, we will say so at this stage rather than waste your time.

  2. 02

    Scope and estimate

A written scope with selections, allowances and a real schedule. You see exactly what is and is not included before anything starts. This is the document that prevents almost every argument that happens later.

  3. 03

    Demo and discovery

On older shore homes, demo is when the house tells you what it has been hiding. Anything found gets priced in writing and signed off before work continues. No verbal change orders.

  4. 04

    Rough-in

Framing, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Our own trades, working to the sequence set at scope. This is the invisible half of the job and the half that decides how long the finish lasts.

  5. 05

    Finish

Cabinetry, tile, stone, trim and paint. The order is fixed for a reason, and we do not start finish work on a rough-in that has not been signed off.

  6. 06

    Punch list

We walk it with you, write the list, and close it out. The punch list is where most renovations quietly end at ninety percent. Ours does not.

Kept the job site clean and great communication during the job.
