We answer during working hours and call back the same day otherwise. If you would rather write it down, the form does the same job and reaches the same place.
It helps to know roughly what you are thinking about and roughly when. You do not need drawings, a materials list or a firm budget to start the conversation. A walk-through is free, takes about half an hour, and you are under no obligation afterwards.
If you are collecting several estimates, ask each contractor for their allowances in writing, per line, with units. It is the single most useful thing you can do to make two numbers genuinely comparable, and it is a fair question to put to us as well.
