Breathe Easy Now, Pay Over Time
Nobody budgets for a heating system. It fails when it fails, usually at the worst possible moment, and usually without asking. Between financing partners and Delaware rebate programs, there are more ways to handle it than most people realize.
See the Monthly Number First
Most people do not shop a new system by the sticker price. They shop it by what it does to the monthly budget. Drag the slider to your quote, or your best guess, and get a feel for the payment before you talk to any lender.
Monthly Payment Estimator
An illustration, not an offer. Your rate and term come from the lender after approval, and rebates on qualifying high-efficiency equipment can lower the price you finance. We walk you through both.
Get a Real QuoteWho We Work With
We are not a lender and we do not decide who gets approved. What we do is give you the applications, tell you honestly which route tends to suit which situation, and handle the paperwork on our end so the install is not waiting on a fax machine.
Synchrony
The most common route for home comfort equipment. Promotional terms come and go, so ask what is running when you are ready rather than trusting a number on a website.
Wells Fargo
Another long-standing home improvement lender. Often the alternative worth trying when the first application does not land where you hoped.
Service Finance
Built specifically around contractor work. Useful when the project is larger than a straight equipment swap.
Energize Delaware
Not a lender in the ordinary sense. A state energy program offering rebates and, for qualifying households, its own low-cost financing on efficiency upgrades.
Rebates Are the Part People Leave on the Table
Financing spreads the cost. Rebates reduce it, and they are the piece homeowners most often miss because the paperwork is dull and the deadlines are real.
Energize Delaware
Delaware's own energy efficiency programs offer incentives on qualifying high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment. Heat pumps and geothermal typically do best here, because the incentive scales with how efficient the equipment is.
Delmarva Power
Utility rebates on qualifying equipment, generally tied to efficiency ratings and sometimes to proper sizing documentation. Which is one more reason we do a real load calculation rather than matching the old tonnage.
We help our customers qualify
This is not a line on a brochure. Mark has personally sat with customers to work through what a rebate program wanted, because the difference between qualifying and not is usually one form filled out correctly and on time.
Federal tax credits
High-efficiency heat pumps and ground-source geothermal have historically carried federal tax credits, and geothermal has tended to draw the most generous treatment of anything we install. Programs and dollar limits change from year to year, and we are HVAC contractors rather than tax advisers. We will tell you what category your equipment falls in and what documentation you will need. Confirm the current credit with whoever does your taxes before you count on a specific number.
What Actually Drives the Price
Before financing anything, it helps to know what you are financing. Two quotes for "a new AC" can differ by thousands for reasons that have nothing to do with anybody being greedy.
- Equipment efficiency. A higher-rated system costs more up front and less every month. Where you land depends on how long you are staying in the house.
- Single stage, two stage, or variable speed. This drives comfort and dehumidification as much as it drives the bill, and in our humid summers that matters.
- Ductwork. If the duct needs sealing, resizing, or repair, that is real work. Skipping it means paying for efficiency you will never see.
- Electrical and code. Older houses sometimes need a service or disconnect upgrade. We tell you before the truck arrives, not after.
- Access. An attic air handler in a crawl-height space takes longer than a basement unit with room to work.
How to Start
Get the quote first. Applying before you know the project size means guessing at an amount, and the number matters. So we come out, look at the house, run the load calculation, and give you a real figure. Then we walk through which financing route fits and which rebates the equipment qualifies for.
No pressure, and no instant quote over the phone. Your home is unique and your system should be too, and that is not a slogan, it is why the numbers differ house to house.
Financing Questions
Yes. Delmarva Power and Energize Delaware offer rebates on qualifying high-efficiency equipment, and we help our customers qualify. We also work with Synchrony, Wells Fargo, and Service Finance for financing.
Financing is generally aimed at system replacements and larger projects. For repairs, the more useful lever is usually the Comfort Protection Plan, which takes 15% off parts and discounts the diagnostic fee.
That is between you and the lender, and it depends on the product and whether the check is soft or hard. Ask them directly before you apply. We are the contractor, not the bank, and we are not going to guess about your credit file.
Usually yes. They solve different problems. Financing spreads what you pay over time and rebates reduce what you owe overall. Most of our replacement customers end up using both.
Often the same day, sometimes within minutes for the standard products. Rebate processing runs on the program's own schedule and is slower, which is why we start that paperwork at the time of install rather than afterward.
What Helping You Qualify Looks Like
"We had some concerns about a rebate but Mark went over and above to help us qualify. The installation process went smoothly and was done in less than two days. We would highly recommend Air Doctorx."
