Performance track
More than Academy. Not yet Company.
Ensemble exists for the dancer who has outgrown one class a week but is not ready, or not interested, in a competition calendar.
She trains more seriously. She performs more often. She does it without national travel, without audition pressure and without the cost that comes with both. For a great many dancers this is the right place for years, and for some it is the right place forever.
Dancers move up when their teacher says they are ready, not on a fixed timetable. Nobody is held back to fill a level and nobody is pushed up to fill one either.
The four levels
Placement is by readiness. Ages below are typical, not a rule, and dancers regularly sit a level either side of their grade.
Ensemble I
The first step past recreational. Two classes a week, a technique focus, and a first taste of performing somewhere other than the recital stage.
Ensemble II
Technique deepens and the vocabulary gets real. Dancers begin community showcases and start to think of themselves as performers.
Ensemble III
Pre-professional habits: conditioning, cross-training across disciplines, and the discipline of rehearsing something until it is genuinely good.
Ensemble IV
Our senior performance track. Dancers here mentor the younger levels, and many are inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.
She performs. You do not book a hotel.
Ensemble dancers perform several times across the season, and none of it requires a hotel booking.

Ensemble IV dancers are eligible for induction into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts, which recognises artistry, leadership and academic standing together.
The faculty are amazing role models, and you can tell dance is their passion. They give my girls the confidence they need, and my girls have made the best of friends with their teammates.
