A ground-based, low-pressure roof treatment that clears the dark streaks, moss, and lichen from asphalt and metal roofs. Nobody walks your shingles and nothing gets blasted.
Those dark stripes running down the roof are Gloeocapsa magma, an algae that feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles. It shows up on the north side first and spreads. It is ugly, it holds heat, and it shortens shingle life, but it is not a sign the roof is failing. A soft-wash treatment applied from the ground kills it and lets rain carry it away.
The standard treatment. Algae dies on contact and the staining fades with the next few rains.
Cabin roofs get the same low-pressure care, with a rinse that will not scratch the finish.
Treated so it releases on its own. We do not scrape, which tears granules off with it.
