Plumber in Westlake Village & the Conejo Valley
You get Danny, or the plumber he trained.
Same family, same shop, since 1977. You get the price before we start.
Mon to Fri, 9 to 5. Often same day.
What’s it doing?
Most people don’t know which service they need, and they shouldn’t have to. Find what it’s doing and we’ll tell you what’s usually behind it.
Usually the water heater: a pilot, a thermostat, a failed element, or a tank at the end of its life. We’ll tell you which before you buy anything.
Water heaters A warm spot on the floorCopper under the slab is the most common serious leak in this valley. A warm floor, a meter that’s still turning, or a bill that jumped are the three tells.
Slab leak repair A drain that keeps backing upClearing it is the easy part. If it comes back, something’s wrong with the line, and a camera shows what before anyone digs.
Drains & sewer camera A stain on a wall or ceilingWe find where the water’s actually coming from before anything’s opened up. Walls, ceilings, floors, slabs and yards.
Leak detection Banging pipes, or fixtures that keep failingHigh street pressure is behind a lot of the fixture failures here. A regulator brings it back to what the house was built for.
Pressure regulators Rusty water, or pinhole leaks turning upOriginal galvanized or thin copper reaching the end. One pinhole usually isn’t the last one, and that’s the conversation to have before the next.
Copper & PEX repiping A smell of gas, or you want a line runLeak testing and repair, and new runs to a BBQ, a range, a fire pit or a pool heater. Pressure tested, permitted, inspected.
Gas lines You’re remodeling a kitchen or bathRough-in and finish plumbing to the drawings, coordinated with your other trades, and the permits pulled. It matters when you sell.
Remodel plumbingRepairs, drains, leaks, water heaters and the bigger jobs.
Plumbing repairs
Running toilets, dripping faucets, disposals, angle stops, hose bibs, shower valves. Priced before we start.
Leak detection & repair
Finding where the water’s coming from before anything’s opened up. Walls, ceilings, floors, slabs and yards.
Tankless water heaters
Straight swaps and conversions from a tank. The gas line, the venting and the permit are the job.
Drain cleaning
Kitchen sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, laundry lines and the main. Cleared, tested, and if it keeps coming back we’ll tell you why.
02Sewer camera & sewer repair
A camera down the line shows what is there before anyone digs. Then a spot repair, a new cleanout, or a new run.
03Slab leak repair
Copper under the concrete is the most common serious leak we see in the Conejo Valley. We find it, then repair the spot or reroute the line.
04Water heater repair & replacement
Tank replacements and repairs, including the parts that get skipped on a cheap quote: strapping, venting, the expansion tank, the permit.
05Copper & PEX repiping
Whole-house repipes in copper or PEX when the original pipe has had enough. Sequenced so your water is only off a few hours at a time.
06Gas line installation & repair
New runs to a BBQ, a range, a fire pit or a pool heater. Leak testing and repair. Upsizing for a tankless. Pressure tested and inspected.
07Water pressure regulators
High water pressure is behind a lot of the fixture failures in this valley. A regulator brings it down to what the house was built for.
08Kitchen & bathroom remodel plumbing
Rough-in and finish plumbing for kitchens, bathrooms and additions. We work to the drawings, coordinate with your trades and pull the permits.
09Not sure which one it is?
Describe it on the phone and you’ll usually have an answer in two minutes. That call is free, and it often ends with us telling you it can wait.

Dan’s Plumbing
Est. 1977 · Westlake Village
Forty-nine years, and the owner still picks up.
The same family since 1977.
Our dad started Dan’s Plumbing in 1977. It’s still the family’s business. Same name on the truck, and the owner still picks up the phone.
Danny’s a master plumber and he’s out on jobs every day. For a long time the work took him all over Los Angeles, from the older houses in the Conejo Valley to big homes on the Westside and in Malibu. In those houses you’re expected to be careful with the floors, clear about the price, and finished when you said you would be.
That’s still how the work gets done.
We’ve kept the shop small. Once a plumbing company gets big it needs dispatchers and a rotating crew, and the homeowner never meets the person responsible for the work. We didn’t want that.
Call next year about something else and you get the same two people.
There are two of us.
What that means day to day.
We answer
Danny picks up the phone. If he can’t, he calls back the same day.
We diagnose
We tell you what is wrong. Sometimes that means telling you it can wait.
We show you
You see what is wrong before we fix it. If it is a small part, we say so.
We price first
You get the price before the work starts. Repairs are our time plus parts, and the bigger jobs get a written bid.
We clean up
Drop cloths, shoe covers, and the house left the way we found it.
We pull permits
If the job needs one, we get it. It matters when you sell the house.
We come back
Same shop and the same phone number, for as long as you have the house.
We stand behind it
One year on our labor. Thirty days on drain clearing. If something we did is not right, you call the person who did it.
From the older houses in the valley to the big ones on the water. Careful with the floors, clear about the price, finished when we said we would be.
There are two of us.
Nobody gets sent over from an agency. Whoever comes out has seen your problem before, and will tell you if something doesn’t need fixing.
Danny
Owner · Master plumber
Second generation. He writes the bids himself, is out on jobs every day, and he’s the one you call if anything’s wrong with the work.

The plumber Danny trained
Service & repair
Danny trained him and checks his work. Between the two of them, the same pair of hands is on your house this year and next.
Five reviews. Five stars.
A small shop doesn’t collect thousands of reviews, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. Here are two of the five, word for word.
“Dan is consistent. Professional, on time, only does what is needed, experienced, easy to work with, clean, and smart.”
“Dan’s Plumbing did excellent job for us replacing our broken water pressure regulator. Quick response, good price, great quality of work. Will hire them again.”
Read the rest on Google, or if we have been out to you, leave one.
If something we did is not right, you call the person who did it.
Most of this is ten minutes from the shop.
Which is why same day is often realistic. If you’re just outside, call and ask. For a repipe or a remodel we go further.

Things people ask.
Danny, or the plumber who works with him. That is the whole company. Danny trained him and checks his work, and if something is not right Danny is the one you call.
You get the price before we start. Repairs are our time plus parts. Remodels, repipes and additions get a written bid that lists the work and what each part costs. Nobody here works on commission, so nobody is paid to sell you extras.
Often the same day for the towns around the shop. Say what it is doing when you call and we will tell you straight away when we can be there. If it is actively leaking, shut the water off at the main first.
No. We are not a 24-hour shop. If something is leaking at night, shut the water off at the main and call us first thing in the morning.
Yes. Dan’s Plumbing holds a California C-36 plumbing contractor license, CSLB #339618, and is bonded and insured. The license number is on the truck and on every invoice, and you can check it on the CSLB website.
Yes, whenever the job needs one. Water heaters, gas lines, repipes and remodel plumbing all get permitted and inspected. It matters when you sell the house.
One year on our labor, thirty days on drain clearing, and the manufacturer’s warranty on any part or unit we install. If something we did is not right, you call the person who did it.
